Lesson 11:
Create Your Product Page

Now you need to create the product page for your shopping cart. This page tells the shopping cart and your customers essential information including:

  • The teleseminar name
  • Catalog item number
  • Price
  • Special messages such as calls to action and other messages to build trust that will increase the likelihood customers will buy; and a phone number to call in case something goes wrong, or if people don't want to give their credit card info online.
  • If you sell products, it will also include shipping information, postage and tax.
  • A message that customers receive after they order. This message includes such vital information as the phone numbers to call, pass codes, and other info. We'll go into this in more detail on Day 12.

Every shopping cart is different and might require different steps. If you use MyEasyOnlineStore, you can follow instructions that are explained just after the Action Step for this day.

To increase your sales, you can add special messages to the top and bottom of the order form. This is important and can increase your sales tremendously because when people get to the order form on a shopping cart, they might suddenly become afraid to order online.

You need to tell them several important things:

  • Branding. The product order page must have the same design as your main site. Include your logo and use a similar color scheme.
  • Security. Tell them "this order form is safe and secure" and "your credit card information will be safe."
  • Guarantees. You must say that your teleseminar is guaranteed. If they don’t like it for any reason, they can return and get the money.
  • Phone number. If people have trouble ordering they can call a real person and give you their credit card information over the phone.
